Because he comes from a Track construction background, Jason realizes the importance of delivering the RIGHT product on time. As president of North American Rail Products, Jason strives to provide his customers with 3 key services:

Chris Erhart
Sales Manager, Delta, BC
Before joining North American Rail Products in 2011, Chris Erhart worked for a decade at VAE Nortrak Ltd as the Regional Sales Manager overseeing sales in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA and Alaska. It’s this experience that has led him to understand fully that providing excellent customer service is what sells. Chris’ job is to cover sales throughout Canada while also being responsible for purchasing both raw materials and finished goods at both the regional and corporate levels. Chirs also maintains the regional office and storage location in Delta, British Columbia which is staffed with employees that share Chris’ ‘we can do it’ attitude and philosophy. It’s a balancing act: Chris’ ability to react quickly to sales requests and to be able to keep clients mobile while keeping their projects on schedule and on budget allows him to focus on what’s important; the relationship of trust he builds with all his clients. Chris thrives on time sensitive projects that present a wide range of challenges, and his proven ability to ‘think outside the box’ and to consistently find a way to get things done, provides him with a sense of accomplishment.
Chirs believes the rail industry has been strong over the past three years and that the future outlook is strong with large sized projects just on the horizon. These range from passenger LRT traffic, industrial siding and yard development and expansions as well as some large scale Class I railroad rehabilitation, repairs and new construction projects. The oil and gas sector as well as potash are two large focuses for the industrial marketplace, now and in the near future. North American Rail Products offers Chris the flexibility and the corporate support he needs to back his offer of superior customer service. With the tremendous growth potential leading to fantastic opportunities within the industry, NARP and Chris Erhart are excited to be a part of it. Through it all, Chris stands by his plan to become one of the the ‘go-to’ guys in the ‘go-to’ company for railroad related materials in North America.
Manny Sousa
Sales Manager, Delta, BC
Manny Sousa joined North American Rail Products in June, 2014. Similar to many of his colleagues at NARP, his experience in the rail industry is undeniably extensive. Manny began his career in rail in 1984, working as a Tamper Operator at A&B Rail. In 1987, he joined VAE Nortrak where he remained for 27 years. Manny worked his way up the ‘rail ladder’, taking on a variety of positions including Grinder, Frog Fitter, Yardsman, Storekeeper and Shipper; garnering valuable industry experience along the way. He also holds safety certifications as a Certified Forklift and Loader Operator, Arial Boom Lift Instructor and, is Crane trained. In 1991, Manny moved into the supervisory roles at Nortrak. First, he was a Yard/Shipping Supervisor, then a Frog Shop Supervisor. His last position at Nortrak was as an Afternoon Shift Supervisor where he oversaw all production classifications on that shift.
Manny Sousa had been interested in the sales side of the rail business for some time. When the position as Sales Manager came up at NARP, Manny believed that this was his opportunity to begin this new chapter of his rail career. He sees NARP as having a great future ahead. Manny was immediately impressed by the individuals at NARP. They are knowledgeable, experienced and determined to make NARP a major rail supplier. Most importantly, NARP has industry respect because their customers receive product on time and their pricing is competitive and fair. Manny Sousa is excited to be a part of the NARP team. He believes he can add his energy and vision to help grow this already strong rail products company. Manny is personable and listens to the needs and demands of those around him. He understands that much of his success in sales will stem from his ingrained ability to build trusting, strong relationships with both his colleagues and his customers.
Chad Cameron
Sales Manager, Argyle, MB
Chad Cameron likes a challenge. When Chad first joined NARP in 2014 as Yard Manager, he brought with him a strong background in Inventory Management and Distribution, along with Business Administration training from the Aviation Management program at Red River College.
Chad had years of experience getting inventory where it was needed, when it was needed. The challenge at NARP, he remembers, was getting the inventory to a location 75 miles from nowhere, covered in three feet of mud – and ensuring it arrived at the same time as the client’s work crew.
Over the course of a year, Chad streamlined NARP’s distribution system, changing the way our rail product was picked, packaged and shipped, so that today NARP has the fastest delivery times in Canada.
Chad’s next project was to sort and organize a large yard of relay rail, so that we could expand the number of cost-saving options we offered to clients. During that time, he solidified his rail product knowledge, identifying more than 100 different types of product – hands-on.
After that project was completed, Chad was promoted to Assistant Sales Manager and continued to manage both a portion of the yard and work in-office directly with clients. His calm, “get it done” approach made him an easy-to-work-with problem solver for clients, and a natural fit for NARP’s “can-do” culture.
Today, as Sales Manager, Chad brings a well-rounded perspective to NARP’s customer service. He is able to help both the client and NARP staff at every step of the sales and distribution process, from the warehouse to the client work site. Chad doesn’t see his role as ending once a sale is made, for him it ends when the client receives their product and is satisfied.
